XL Capital senior executives to participate in World Insurance Forum

 — Hamilton, Bermuda (February 14, 2002) - XL Capital Ltd (NYSE: XL) ("XL") announced today that five of its senior executives are scheduled to participate in the fifth Bermuda Insurance Symposium World Insurance Forum next week.
The Forum will be held from February 19 through February 22 at The Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotel in Bermuda.
Michael A. Butt, a Director of XL, is scheduled to moderate a World Insurance Forum round table discussion on February 20, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. AST (Atlantic Standard Time).
Robert Lusardi, XL's Chief Executive Officer of Financial Products and Services, will be one of a panel of six to address the topic "Convergence - Cooperation or Competition" on February 21. The discussion will be held from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. AST.
Jeffrey Bortniker, Chief Executive Officer of Element Re Capital Products Inc, and Dan Sussman, Chief Underwriting Officer of XL Financial Solutions, are also scheduled to participate in a panel discussion on February 21 titled "Bermuda Greenhouse - Today's Solutions to Tomorrow's Problems". The discussion will be held from 3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. AST.
Henry C.V. Keeling, Chief Executive of Reinsurance Operations for XL and President and CEO of XL Re Ltd, is scheduled to moderate on February 22 an open assembly for Forum attendees, titled "Our World of Risk has Changed". The Forum final event will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. AST.
A live webcast of all the Forum sessions will be available via the Bermuda Insurance Symposium website www.bis.bm . The webcast will be archived there for six months.
