XL’s first Global Day of Giving was held on June 16, 2006, to commemorate the Company’s 20th anniversary. On that day, XL employees donated over 20,000 hours of community service to more than 200 charitable projects in more than 20 locations worldwide.
XL President and Chief Executive Officer Brian M. O’Hara said: “I am pleased that we are once again committing to a global volunteer day to support initiatives and programs within our local communities. Our efforts last year were a success and drew such a tremendous response, boosting our employee volunteerism, that we decided to repeat the event again this year.”
