According to Eric Donofrio, North America Aviation Manager at XL Group, “Insurers like XL Group value clients that seek continuous training to improve their skills. These pilots take safety and risk management seriously and for us, that makes them a better risk to underwrite. For them, going above and beyond their required annual training translates into more competitive insurance rates such as those we are able to offer POPA members who complete Pilatus’ Proficiency Program.”
As part of POPA’s continuing focus on education, PPPP is designed to encourage member pilots to participate in additional training opportunities during the year, thereby improving their flying skills and the safety profile of the PC-12 fleet. Members that complete two knowledge courses, a flight course, and attend POPA’s Annual Convention will be recognized each year with a completion certificate. PPPP training does not take the place of annual Pilatus PC-12 training.
The Pilatus PC-12 is a single-engine turboprop passenger and cargo aircraft manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland.
